Funding

JML Rotary Scout receives very little in the form of funding. It is the selfless dedication of the volunteers that keeps the yacht in good seaworthy condition. We rely heavily on the kindness of corporate donors and we have received some heartwarming support. It is amazing how many good people and organisations there are out there. Some examples are Peninsula Power Products who rebuilt the engine free of charge, the Rotary Clubs of Tygerberg and Bellville donated an EPIRB, Jotun donated top quality anti-fouling paint and the Eikos Group sponsor the yacht’s marine insurance and donate a modest monthly fee. Pick n Pay donated a liferaft and spray dodger. Awlgrip donated marine paint. The Jewish Maritime League has been a major sponsor.

This Project is an on-going development project and relies on the support of Companies and sponsors to ensure continuity of our programs and thereby assist us in developing young leaders who will hold the name of South Africa high in our changing future.
